Sperm Count
Sperm count is the number of sperm of ejaculate. It is used as an indicator of male fertility.
We all had fun in sperm counting. We saw sperm motility and we tried to play music like Superbass or Moves Like Jagger and we saw sperms dancing :) Ahaha.. We were just experimenting. Try it when you do sperm count and observe if sperm really dances or move faster with a music.
The guy on the picture is the apple of my eye, Luner (I call him Choodyber). We did a sperm count with his semen (just for our group). Thanks Choody!
This Lab activity was our last experiment and I will miss this. :(

I performed a Urine Pregnancy Test, with my urine…not because I think I’m pregnant so please :) I just volunteered!
Urine Pregnancy Test is not just to define if your pregnant but also it may define if you have cancer.
Result:

One band = Negative!
I’m not pregnant and no cancer.

Hematology Lab Activity
WBC counting,
with my groupmates, and Mam Cathy (thank you Mam for teaching me how to count WBCs! It was fun for me because of your help! I really appreciate that.)

(Ms.MedTechEma, counting White Blood Cells!)
It was complicated to count WBCs but I had fun! Discipline and patience are just all you need. “JUST FOCUS!”
Thank you Father God! I could see how great Creator You are in our every lab activity!
Also, thanks to Mam Cathy for her assistance! “Thanks for the patience, Mam!”..and also to our Hematology professor, Sir Ding! “Thank you Sir!”
So, start counting WBCs guys! It’s fun!

But many people with medical profession told me that its not fun at all, too complicated, or whatsoever..
How about you? Do you also have fun on counting WBCs or RBCs?
A well-stained blood smear (using oil-immersion objective)
Erythrocytes - orange to salmon pink
Leukocyte nuclei - purple to blue
-From my own blood specimen, and I have bruise now because of long tourniquet application but I don’t blame my classmate (my phlebotomist). Her hands were shaking that time which is really common to Medical Technology students. :)
